Is a new kitchen in your home’s future? If so, then there’s probably nothing more exciting to you right now than pouring over beautifully designed kitchens on your favorite decorating sites or in magazines. Keeping up to date with the latest styles and trends is a great way to be inspired for your own remodel. That’s why we’ve rounded up the top kitchen trends you can expect to see in 2017!

Light Cabinets and Dark Floors

In years past the all white kitchen has proven to be a timeless choice. White cabinets with lighter walls will continue to be popular in 2017, but many homeowners are opting for darker floors to add a sense of coziness to these bright spaces. Looking for more ways to add warmth to a white kitchen? We’ve got plenty of ideas for you!

A More Colorful Gray Cabinet

Gray has claimed its spot as a neutral color, and we’ve seen plenty of kitchen cabinets painted in one stunning shade of gray or another. You can expect to see plenty more gray, but this year it will have a little more color to it. Gray blues, purples, and even greens on cabinets or walls is one of the top rising trends in 2017.

Statement Floors

Get ready to see floors with some serious personality! Forget the basic neutral tiled floor, because patterned tiled floors are on the rise. The best thing about this trend? No need to worry about bringing in a rug for color and pattern that will just get spilled on.

Open Shelving

Open shelving isn’t new, but it will continue to be a popular choice for new kitchens in the year ahead. Their ability to serve as practical open storage while also providing a spot for decorative elements makes it easy to understand why many homeowners are swapping out some or all of their upper cabinets in favor of shelving.
